Complete an associate’s degree then take University of Iowa (UI) course work at Western Iowa Tech Community College in Sioux City, Iowa.  WITCC has partnered with us to offer you an opportunity to complete one of three UI degree programs.

Choose from Three Certificates:     These certificates can be combined with your BLS or BAS degree.
Spring 2010 Courses Include: 06T:120:EXW - Entrepreneurship & Innovation Explore the entrepreneurial process from conception to birth of a new venture. Emphasis is on attributes of successful entrepreneurs, innovation and creativity, opportunity recognition, venture screening, identification of resources, and feasibility analysis.
Students are required to log on to their course site from 9 to 10pm on the following dates: 2/1. 2/15, 3/1, 3/22, 4/5, 4/19, and 5/3.
Pre/Co-requisite: 06T:050:EXW Foundations in Entrepreneurship or approved courses in accounting and marketing. 06T:133:EXS – Entrepreneurial Finance (Blended Course) This course helps students understand the process of capital acquisition and cash flow management. It explains techniques, projections, and measurements used in valuing and funding new and growing ventures. It also teaches how to identify sources and strategies for raising capital.
Students are required to log on to their course site from 9 to 10pm on the following dates: 1/25, 2/22, 3/29, and 4/12, and attend an on-site discussion group on 2/8, 3/8, and 4/26.
Prerequisite: 06T:120 Entrepreneurship & Innovation 06T:134:EXW – Entrepreneurial Marketing Gain practical understanding of marketing concepts for application in new business settings. Students develop a marketing plan, identify markets, create products, design promotions and sales programs, and assess ongoing customer service needs.
Students are required to log on to their course site from 8 to 9pm on the following dates: 1/21, 2/4, 2/18, 3/4, 4/1, 4/15, and 4/29.
Prerequisites: 06T:120 Entrepreneurhsip & Innovation 030:126:EXS – American Public Policy (Blended Course) This course examines theories of public policy formation in the United States. Attention will also be paid to substantive policy areas such as criminal justice, immigration, drug and alcohol policies. Discussion times will be available on ISIS soon.
