Winter Session - Registration Information 2009-10

All students can register for Winter Session classes on ISIS at http://isis.uiowa.edu. Registration eligibility requirements for Winter Session are the same as the requirements to register for Spring Semester.  You may also check your eligibility to register on ISIS.

You are eligible to register for Winter Session at the same time you register for Spring Semester.  Your registration day and time will be printed on your Spring Registration Form and will be listed on ISIS.  Remember to discuss your plans with advisor before registering.

Three semester hours is the maximum registration for Winter Session without special permission.

Drop/Add Deadlines and Tuition Responsibility

Winter Session courses will follow the add, drop, drop without a "W", add or change P-F, P-N, S-U, or audit status and fees deadlines determined by the length of the course.

To compute the length of the course, start with the Begin date and count every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday through the End date. Do not include University holidays, Thanksgiving recess, spring break, or weekends unless the course meets on those days. Then refer to the information below:

The charge is $10 for each course added or dropped after the deadline.

Winter Session students may process changes in registration through ISIS any time prior to the beginning date of the course. Beginning and ending dates are listed on ISIS.

note.gif (247 bytes) It is possible some courses may have insufficient enrollment and will be canceled.  Cancellation decisions will be made by December 11, 2009. Should your course be canceled, you will be notified in writing by the academic department. Please be certain your residing address is current.  Address corrections and updates may be made on ISIS at http://isis.uiowa.edu under the Student Records tab.
