Whether you work in a large or small nonprofit organization, or if you're considering a career in nonprofit work, your participation in the Nonprofit Management Certificate program will help you gain leadership skills and a fundamental understanding of how nonprofits participate in building communities.
The program courses address the unique issues faced by nonprofits such as community and government partnerships, planning, human resources, leadership and accountability, governance, financial accountability, and grant writing. The program also covers The Iowa Principles and Practices for Charitable Nonprofit Excellence which was created based on Nonprofit Organizational Effectiveness I and II, two of the program's required courses.
The Certificate in Nonprofit Management is offered by the Division of Continuing Education in cooperation with The Larned A. Waterman Iowa Nonprofit Resource Center and is awarded by University College.
